Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tickets Continued

1976 - The Buccaneers join the NFL as an expansion team. John Mckay (Former USC Coach) is signed on as head coach. Sadly, the team lost all 14 regular season games.

1977 - Things didn't get any better as the Buccaneers lost their first 12 games of the season, expanding their losing streak to 26 consecutive games.

1978 - The Buccaneers win 5 games this season. Slowly the Buccaneers were finding their footing.

1979 - The Buccaneers stunned the league by winning their first 5 games of the season and tying the Chicago Bears for the Central Division title.

1981 - After enduring a season of constant injuries in the previous year, the Buccaneers rebound and qualify for the postseason. Sadly, they are knocked out in the first round.

1982 - The Buccaneers again qualify for postseason play, but are knocked out in the first round.

1996 - Tony Dungy is recruited to assume head coaching duties. He promptly rebuilds the team with a youthful roster.

1997 - The re-built Buccaneers start with a bang by winning their first 5 games of the season. They finish with a 10-6 win-loss record and qualify for postseason play for the first time in 15 years.
